"We're thrilled to welcome
Nick Kazandjian to our staff. He's a young, energetic coach with a strong passion for the game and a bright future in this profession" said LeRose. "His work ethic and eagerness to grow are exactly what we value in our program. We're excited and happy to have him on board, and we're confident he'll make a positive impact on our student-athletes and the overall culture of Generals Football."
Kazandjian arrives in Lexington after spending the spring season at the University of Rhode Island, where he served as the Assistant Tight Ends Coach and Video Coordinator. He was responsible for creating diagrams for all pass-game installs and managing the transfer portal database for the offensive staff. In addition, he supported film breakdowns and participated in meetings with the tight ends.
Prior to his time at Rhode Island, Kazandjian spent the 2024 season at Princeton University as an Assistant Offensive Line Coach. He assisted with day-to-day operations, position drills, and film analysis for the offensive line. During his tenure, he coached a pair of All-Ivy League selections—Tommy Matheson and Nick Hilliard.
"I'm excited to join the W&L Family. I am thankful for Coach LeRose, Coach Rapoza and
Jan Hathorn for giving me the opportunity to join a great, storied program and University" said Kazandijan. "I am looking forward to being around a strong, supportive community as well as hard-working student-athletes and coaches. Never a better time to be a General!"
Before joining Princeton, Kazandjian held coaching roles at Kenyon College in 2022 and the University of Mount Union in 2023. At Kenyon, he served as the quarterbacks coach and guided Ryan O'Leary to All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors. Under his leadership, the Owls' offense ranked in the top 25 nationally in both total offense and passing offense, averaging 27.1 points per game, 444 total yards per game, and 286.9 passing yards per game.
At Mount Union, Kazandjian served as the running backs coach, video coordinator, and social media coordinator. He coached two D3football.com All-Region selections and two All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honorees. That season, the Purple Raiders had three running backs rush for over 600 yards each and ranked fifth in Division III in scoring offense (48.8 points per game) and sixth in total offense (509.4 yards per game).
Kazandjian earned bachelor's degrees in Sports Management and Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in 2021. He will begin his appointment on July 18.
