LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) has announced its 2025 Scholar All-Americans and Scholar All-America teams, and Washington and Lee was well-represented.

In 1989 the USILA Scholar All-America Program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. The USILA Selection Committee selects an overall team representing Division I, II and III. The Scholar All-Americas are recognized at the annual Lacrosse All-America Banquet. The criteria for an individual to be named a Scholar All-American include being nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.
W&L was one of 54 Division III institutions to earn the team Scholar All-America award, while the four individual Scholar All-Americans ties the most in a season in program history. Collectivey, the Generals put together a team grade-point average of 3.696 during the 2024-25 academic year. A total of 43 student-athletes earned W&L Scholar Athlete (at least 3.5 GPA) in at least one term this past school year, with 29 student-athletes earning the distinction in both the fall and winter terms.
Allen, Burns, Elliott and Ezzell all had highly successful senior seasons, both on and off the field. They helped the Generals to a 17-4 overall record, the second-most wins in a season in program history, the program's 13th ODAC Tournament title and an NCAA Round of 16 appearance.
