ARLINGTON, Va. – The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) have announced the 2025 Women's Tennis College Division All-State teams and award winners, and rising senior Lauren Long and head coach Erin Ness picked up major awards.

Long was named the VaSID College Division Player of the Year for the third consecutive season, while Ness was selected as the Coach of the Year, also for the third straight campaign. Long added an All-State First Team accolade in singles, along with classmate Grace Lorenz, with the pair also making an appearance on the All-State First Team for doubles.

The VaSID All-State Singles Second Team featured recent graduate Meagan Donovan, rising senior Annie Jennings and rising sophomores Jackie Daynovsky and Sarah Donnelly to complete the list of honored Generals.

Long had another banner season for the Blue and White, winning her third consecutive ODAC Player of the Year award and third straight All-America citation as a singles player. Long ended the season as the 18th-ranked singles player in Division III after producing a 16-2 overall record this season, including 13-2 from the No. 1 spot.

Ness, who won ODAC Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season and ninth overall, led the Generals to an 18-6 overall record in 2024-25 and their 22nd straight and 34th conference tournament championship. Ness coached five players to All-ODAC First Team Singles honors for the first time since 2017 when her players claimed each of the six, while also helping first-year Allie Murrell to the ITA regional semifinals, and Mary Kate Kahl and Murrell to the semifinals of the doubles draw.

Lorenz went 10-3 in singles play this season to gain a spot on the All-State First Team. She primarily played out of the No. 3 spot in dual match play, going 6-2 in eight matches. Lorenz was also featured in the ITA's final individual rankings of the season, earning the No. 69 national ranking and No. 12 in the Atlantic South Region.

As a doubles team, Long and Lorenz were W&L's top tandem, as they produced an 11-4 record together and went 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. Their 11 wins together was a team best and they ended the season on a six-match winning streak.

Jennings, Daynovsky and Donovan were also featured on the All-ODAC Singles First Team this season, while Donnelly earned her first postseason award. Jennings was the No. 3 All-ODAC First Team singles player with a 3-0 record there, plus a 3-0 mark at No. 1. Overall, Jennings went 12-5 in singles play this season and played at least one dual match at all six positions.

Daynovsky and Donovan added First Team All-ODAC singles citations at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. Daynovsky posted an 8-1 record this season and 4-0 at No. 5, while Donovan closed out her collegiate career with an 8-0 season and 7-0 at No. 6.

In her first collegiate tennis season, Donnelly proved to be one of the Generals' top players, as she ranked second only to Long in singles wins after posting a 13-4 record. Donnelly went 12-3 in dual match play, and mostly played out of the No. 4 spot where she went 8-3. Donnelly also factored in to all three of W&L's ODAC Tournament matches, where she dropped just one game total in her six sets played.

The Generals went 18-6 overall this season, including 10-0 in the ODAC, won their 22nd straight conference championship and made it to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
