LEWISBURG, Pa. - Sophomore Olivia Warr of the Washington and Lee University women's track and field team ran the third-fastest 5,000m in program history at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University on Saturday evening.
Warr, a sophomore from Middleburg, Va., competed Saturday evening in a highly competitive field featuring athletes from Divisions I, II, and III. Racing in the third heat of the 5,000m, Warr recorded a new personal best and the third-fastest time in program history, crossing the finish line in 17:16.43. She placed 45th overall and 10th among Division III competitors. Her time surpasses
Sophia Breschi's mark of 17:28.24, set earlier this season at the W&L Carnival. Her time also currently ranks 14th in Division III this season.
The women's track and field team will be back in action on Saturday, April 19th as they travel to Baltimore, Md. for the Hopkins / Loyola Invitational.
