200 Freestyle Relay Team Qualifies for 2025 NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Washington and Lee University women's swimming team's 200 freestyle relay qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on March 20-23 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Bella Tarbet, Amelia Maloof, Vivian Pickeral, and Myla Rice earned their first bid to the national meet after posting a qualifying time of 1:34.02, the 17th-fastest time, in the 200 freestyle relay. The quartet will also compete in the 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay in Greensboro. Both teams hold the 26th-fastest time in the field, with the 400 freestyle relay team clocking in at 3:30.57 and the 200 medley relay team posting a time of 1:46.82.


Tarbet will also compete individually in the 200 butterfly. The East Hampton, N.Y., native holds the 30th-best time in the field at 2:04.95.


The 2025 National Championships are slated to begin on March 20th at the Greensboro Aquatic Center and wrap up on March 23rd. Each day will feature two sessions, the prelims sessions starting at 10 a.m. with the Finals set to start at 6 p.m. More information can be found at
