Dager Named South Region Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Washington and Lee University head women's cross country coach and assistant women's track and field coach, Michael Dager, was named the South Region Indoor Women's Assistant Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Dager, in his 11th year as the distance coach at W&L, guided the Generals to 96 points in distance events en route to their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title in 16 years.

Law student Cassie Carr and sophomore Olivia Warr won conference titles and set championship meet records in the mile and 3,000m, respectively. The duo also qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, earning Second Team All-America honors following top-16 finishes.
