KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Washington and Lee University men's soccer team capped off its impressive 2024 season ranked No. 4 in the final United Soccer Coaches National Poll, released Tuesday.
The Generals concluded the year with a 15-4-6 record after advancing to the NCAA Championship semifinals for the third time in the last four seasons. Their historic run included a program-record 20-game unbeaten streak and the eighth Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) championship in program history.
Washington and Lee's season came to a close with a hard-fought 1-0 loss to Connecticut College in the NCAA Semifinals, where a second-half set-piece goal proved decisive.
Amherst College topped the final poll, followed by Connecticut College and Middlebury College, with the Generals climbing from No. 21 to No. 4.
