CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Washington and Lee University equestrian and riding team tied for High Point Team on the first day of the IHSA Double Header hosted by W&L and University of Virginia on Saturday.
The Generals tallied 12 ribbons and four first place finishes on Saturday to earn 35 points in team scoring. W&L tied with Virginia Tech and Hollins to share a claim in the High Point Team scoring on day one of the weekend; UVA earned High Point Reserve with 32 points.
Clare O'Brien contributed to 14 of those team points as she picked up her second High Point Rider laurel of this season. The senior took first in both the Open Hunter Equitation on the flat and fences in her respective sections.

- Bridgewater, James Madison, Roanoke and Ferrum were also included in the field of riders today.
- The Generals earned seven top-3 finishes and placed in the top-6 on 12 occasions today.
