FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The duo of Evan Brady (Glen Head, N.Y. / Chaminade) and Evan Erb (St. Lous, Mo. / MICDS) made their way into the championship match in the doubles championship draw on Sunday to clinch a trip to the ITA Cup in October.

The pair defeated Johns Hopkins' Joe DeMarco and Marco Azar, 8-6, on Sunday morning in the semifinal round to earn a spot in the final match and punch their ticket to Rome for the Cup. 

JHU had three pairs present in the semifinal round with the Generals. The top-seeded Blue Jays, James Yu and Thomas Yu, defeated teammates Hanyu Liu and George Jiang, 8-6, in the semis to move into the final match.

Erb and Brady fell to the Yu twins in an 8-5 pro-set to claim the Southeast Regional Championship doubles team for JHU.

Erb and Brady's fall season will continue in Rome, Ga. on October 13 for the ITA Cup. The men's team will return to action in February for their traditional season.
