WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The No. 24 Washington and Lee men's track and field team had two athletes finish third in events on day two of the Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary on Saturday.
Highlights From the Meet
- The Generals sent just a handful of competitors to the mostly Division I meet on Saturday. Junior Joe O'Connor (Henrico, Va./Douglas Freeman) placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 4.68m (15'4.25").
- Senior Daniel Kuntz (Minneapolis, Minn./Breck School) finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.96m (42'6.25").
- W&L had two runners record personal bests in the 800m. Sophomore James Dixon (Mountain Brook, Ala./The Altamont School) was 10th in a career-best 1:55.99, and first-year Zach Moore (Advance, N.C./Forsyth Country Day School) was 12th in a personal-best 1:56.59.
