WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - - The Washington and Lee women's cross country team finished sixth out of 10 Division I teams at the William & Mary Invitational on Saturday morning in Williamsburg, Va.
The Generals were led by sophomore Kat Telfeyan (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge), who completed the course in 23:34 to finish 43rd out of 103 runners. Junior Becca Taylor (Hamilton, Ohio/Edgewood) crossed the tape in 24:23 to finish 60th.
Also, making headway for the Blue and White was sophomore Dorthy Todd (Watkinsville, Ga./Athens Academy), who took 62nd place with a time of 24:28, freshman Christine Balisterri's (Mequon, Wisc./Homestead) 65th-place finish in 24:41 and freshman Katherine Fenwick (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga), who ran a 25:31 to finish in 75th place.
W&L returns to action on October 13 at the DeSales Invitational at 10:00 am.
