Rush Finishes 17th in 10,000m at NCAA Outdoor Championship

LA CROSSE, Wis - Senior Keaton Rush of the Washington and Lee University men's track and field team turned in a 17th place finish in the 10,000m on Thursday evening at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championship.

Rush, who was seeded 11th in the field heading into the national meet, stepped up to the starting line with 21 of the top 10,000m runners this season and turned in a 17th place finish with a time 30:25.47. His finish marked the second-best in program history on the national stage, moving past Mac Strehler who finished in 18th place in 2017. Rush will conclude his championship on Saturday in the 5,000m at 5:25 p.m. (ET) alongside teammate Sam Daunt.

Macky Gartley will continue the National Championship tomorrow evening as he competes in Heat 2 of the 110m Hurdles. The event is slated to start at 5:25 (ET) with three heats, the winners from each heat as well as the six next fastest times will head to the finals on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. (ET).
