Sam Daunt has been invited to compete in the 5,000m at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championship in La Crosse, Wis. on May 21-23.

Due to a medical scratch in the field, Daunt received the call to join the 5k field on Saturday afternoon. He will join Keaton Rush in the event this weekend, becoming the first duo in program history to compete in the same race at the National Championship.
During the outdoor season, Daunt earned Third Team All-ODAC honors in the 5,000m at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Outdoor Championships on April 25th. This marks Daunt's first bid to the National Championship.
