INDIANAPOLIS — Washington and Lee opened competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday, highlighted by an All-America performance from senior Dalton Jobe and a strong sprint showing from junior Leighton Chapman at the IU Natatorium.
Jobe earned Second Team All-America honors with a 14th-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley, touching in 1:48.16 in the evening finals. He qualified for the finals with the 13th-fastest time in prelims (1:48.69), with the two swims standing as the second- and third-fastest times in program history in the event. In the finals, he recorded splits of 24.03, 27.92, 31.17 and 25.04.
Chapman competed in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 20.41 in the preliminary heats after competing in the swim-off.
