FOREST, Va. - The fourth-ranked Washington and Lee University women's basketball team garnered Three All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selections while Senior Mary Scheusner was named the Player and Defensive Player of the Year with Head Coach Brittney Kemp earning Coach of the Year laurels.

Seniors Mary Schleusner, Quinn McGuinness, and Sarah Zimmerman were named to the All-Conference teams, which marks the most selections since the 2022-23 season, when the Blue and White also had three honorees.

Head coach Brittney Kemp was named ODAC Coach of the Year for the first time after leading the Generals to a 25-0 record in just her second season, marking the first undefeated regular season in program and ODAC history. They also became the third program in league history to post an unblemished record, joining Randolph-Macon and Roanoke. Kemp led the Generals to a No. 4 ranking in the D3hoops.com and WBCA polls, the highest national ranking in program history. The Blue and White have defeated three ranked teams this season, including #14/21 Carroll University, #7/8 Emory University, and #23 Shenandoah University.

As a squad, they rank in the top 20 in Division III in nine statistical categories, including 5th in rebounding margin (13.1), 10th in rebounds per game (47.92), 11th in defensive rebounds per game (31.5) and blocks per game (5.0), 14th in scoring margin (22.0), 15th in free-throw percentage (75.3), 18th in fouls per game (12.4), and 20th in scoring offense (74.8).

Schleusner was named the Player of the Year for the third consecutive season while earning her fourth Defensive Player of the Year honor of her career. In addition, she was named a First Team All-ODAC selection, becoming the first women's basketball player in W&L history to earn four First Team accolades. Schleusner leads the team and conference in both scoring and rebounds, averaging 20.8 points per game and 17.0 rebounds per game. She has scored 521 points this season on 49.4 percent shooting from the field (207-of-419) while grabbing 425 rebounds. She has recorded 24 double-doubles this season while adding 59 assists, 55 blocks, and 47 steals. This season, Schleusner reset a pair of Division III records as she broke the career rebounding record with 1,889 and the career double-doubles record with 92, which is tied for No. 3 in all NCAA divisions with Jillian Alleyne (Oregon '16). She holds program records for points (2,347), field goals made (940), rebounds (1,889), steals (199), and blocks (337).

McGuinness was selected to the Second Team, picking up her second-straight All-ODAC nod after being selected to the Third Team a season ago. This season, McGuinness is averaging 10.4 points per game while averaging 3.19 assists per game. She has been a threat on both sides of the court, scoring 270 points with 83 assists while registering 40 steals this season.
