McEwen Finishes in a T-34th Place at the Patriot All-America Invitational

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. - Washington and Lee University men's golfer Jonathan McEwen concluded the 15th Annual Patriot All-America Invitational with a score of five-over par with a final scorecard of 76-68-71 - 215 (+5) on the Gold Course at The Wigwam Golf Resort.

McEwen, a junior from Portsmouth, Va., finished in a tie for 34th place with a score of five-over par. Throughout the three rounds, he registered eight birdies including four in the final round to shoot an even par 71. Round two was his best round of the tournament as he posted a clean sheet, shooting two-under par with two birdies and 16 pars.

Connor Williams of Arizona State University and Reagan Zibilski of the University of Arkansas claimed the Men's and Women's Division titles. Williams finished at -14 overall to secure a seven-shot victory while Zibilski won the women's division with a score of -6.

The Patriot All-America Invitational honors military heroes through partnerships with the Folds of Honor Foundation. Players carry golf bags emblazoned with the names of military personnel, which are later auctioned to benefit scholarships for families of fallen or disabled service members. McEwen carried a commemorative PING golf bag honoring Army Specialist Anthony G. Green from Yorktown, Texas, who was killed in action on October 16, 2009 in Afghanistan.
