Series History:
The Generals and Yellow Jackets will meet for the 73rd time in program history, dating back to their first match up in 1903. Randolph-Macon holds a slight edge in the all-time series with a 36-33-3 record and has won six of the last ten meetings. The Yellow Jackets have also claimed the last three contests, scoring 35 points in two of those games while holding the Generals to no more than 21 points in each.

In last season's meeting, Randolph-Macon left Lexington with a 20-7 victory to take sole possession of first place in the conference. Quarterback Dante Casciola accounted for both Yellow Jacket touchdowns, scoring on a pair of one-yard runs. Kicker Kyle Ihle added two field goals to seal the win. For the Generals, Jacob Romero '25 found the end zone with a 63-yard touchdown. 
Casciola completed 17 of 23 passes (74%) for 145 yards and rushed 16 times for 47 yards and two scores. Romero '25 led all rushers with 57 yards on 18 carries and added two receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Tony Skinner led Randolph-Macon with 12 tackles. Four Generals posted double-digit tackles, with Jack Johnson pacing the group with a career-high 14 stops.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets:
Randolph-Macon heads into Week Four with a 2-1 record after opening conference play with a dominant 27-3 win over Bridgewater College. The Yellow Jackets began the season with a 48-34 victory over Dickinson College before falling 10-0 to Central College (Iowa) in Week Two. They are averaging 330.7 yards of total offense per game, including 212 rushing yards—ranking third in the ODAC this season. On defense, they are allowing just 78.7 rushing yards per game, which ranks 11th nationally in Division III, while holding opponents to just 15.7 points per contest.

In last week's win at Bridgewater, the Yellow Jackets tallied 340 yards of total offense with a balanced approach—204 rushing yards and two touchdowns, along with 136 passing yards and one score. Quarterback Dante Casciola completed 16 of 21 passes (76%) for 136 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell Johnson led the ground game with a game-high 107 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown, while Cameron Chatmon added 77 yards and a score on 10 carries. Landon Farriss caught the team's lone receiving touchdown, finishing with three receptions for 16 yards.


Defensively, Randolph-Macon shut down the Bridgewater offense, limiting the Eagles to just 150 total yards—all through the air. The rushing attack was completely stifled, netting zero yards on 26 attempts. RMC registered a season-high 12 tackles for loss, including eight sacks. Brandon Watson led the defensive effort with ten tackles, including seven solo stops, one tackle for loss, and a sack. Brady Kinloch added 2.5 sacks, while five other Yellow Jackets contributed at least half a sack each.


Scouting the Generals:
The Blue and White head to Ashland with a 1–2 record, coming off a dominant 35–7 victory over Guilford College to open ODAC play last weekend. Washington and Lee began the season with a 42–21 loss to No. 7 Salisbury, followed by a narrow 24–21 defeat at Wittenberg in Springfield, Ohio, in Week Two.
The Generals are averaging 403.3 yards per game—second-best in the ODAC—while leading the conference and ranking 11th nationally in Division III with 289.0 rushing yards per game. Defensively, W&L has allowed 354.7 yards per game, including 230.7 passing yards per contest.

Against Guilford, the Generals leaned heavily on their ground game, rushing for 423 yards on 62 plays—an average of 6.8 yards per carry—with three rushing touchdowns. They added 49 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air, totaling 472 yards of offense. Quarterback Ty Collins completed 7-of-17 passes (41%) for 49 yards and two scores. Anthony Crawford led all rushers with 176 yards on 27 carries and two touchdowns. Fidel Small added a 52-yard touchdown run and finished with 60 yards on five carries. Dominic Hahn and Michael Schoenberg each caught a touchdown pass in the win.


On defense, the Blue and White limited the Quakers to just 296 total yards, including only 76 rushing yards. Jack Johnson and Alan Haigler each recorded an interception, while the defense notched five tackles for loss. Mac Palmer led the unit with 10 total tackles, including three solo stops. Israel Rivers added a team-high 1.5 tackles for loss, and five other Generals recorded at least half a tackle for loss.

The Generals are among the top teams in time of possession, rushing offense and first down offense through three weeks of the season. This year, the Blue and White are averaging 37:10 minutes of time of possession per game which ranks fifth in Division III. They also ranked 11th in the country in rushing offense with 289.0 yards per game and are tied for 16th nationally in first down offense, moving the sticks 73 times so far this season.

Anthony Crawford is among the nation's best running backs this season, ranking fifth in Division III with 492 rushing yards through three games this season. He also ranks eighth in the country in rushing yards per game, averaging 164 yards on the ground while ranking 26th in All Purpose yards.

Around the ODAC:
Week three kicked off the start of conference play for the remainder of the season. The trend this week favored the rushing attacks as each winning team's ground game featured considerable advantages in rushing yardages as well as time of possession. Hamdpen-Sydney topped Shenandoah 42-7 at home while Gallaudet secured its first ODAC win with a 39-30 triumph over Averett.
