Warr Resets Program Record at Widener Final Qualifier

CHESTER, Pa. - Sophomore Olivia Warr of the Washington and Lee University women's track and field team reset her own program record while posting a top-20 national mark at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday. 

Warr highlighted the group with a record-breaking performance in the 1,500m, beating her previous record by four seconds to finish in sixth place. She crossed the finish line in a new personal best time of 4:28.85 which ranks 19th in Division III this season. 

Ashley D'Ambrosia and Layla Keadle both competed in the pole vault this afternoon. D'Ambrosia turned in a second place finish after clearing a height of 3.75m (12'-03.50") while Keadle soared over a height of 3.45m (11'-03.75") to finish in seventh place. 

Amanda Romano turned in a sixth place finish in the 400m hurdles after crossing the finish line in 1:02.35. Bailey Hedgemon recorded a mark of 47.89m (157'-01.00") to finish in sixth place in the hammer throw this afternoon. Brianna Breyault rounded out the action for the Blue and White, turning in a 15th place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 11:45.61.
