Men’s Track and Field Concludes Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Washington and Lee University men's track and field team wrapped up the final day of the Colonial Relays at William & Mary on Saturday.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEET
  • Evan Langhammer headlined the final day of competition for the Generals, earning a third-place finish overall and leading all Division III competitors in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.63m (15' 2.25").
  • In the 110m hurdles, George Marable and Danny Jakubowski-Lewis represented W&L, with Marable finishing eighth overall and first among DIII athletes in 15.28 seconds. Jakubowski-Lewis followed with a time of 16.08 seconds, placing 12th overall and second among DIII competitors.
  • The 4x400m relay squad of Marable, Ethan De Fonseka, Ryan McKenna, and Luke Avigliano turned in a strong performance, clocking a time of 3:19.11 to finish seventh overall and first among DIII teams.
  • Will Knight posted a pair of top-20 finishes in the discus and shot put. He placed 13th in the discus (third among DIII) with a toss of 42.44m (139' 2.75"), and 19th in the shot put (sixth among DIII) with a mark of 13.05m (42' 3.75"). Evan Novak also competed in the discus, finishing 20th overall and fifth among DIII athletes with a throw of 39.84m (130' 8.50").
