2025 Men's Track and Field Outdoor ODAC Championship Preview

HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Washington and Lee University men's track and field team heads to Harrisonburg, Va. for the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Outdoor Championships on Friday and Saturday.

Last season, the Blue and White secured a second-place finish at the ODAC Outdoor Championships, totaling 169 points over the two-day meet. The Generals captured three event titles and earned 10 additional All-ODAC citations from nine different student-athletes.

Leading the returners is four-time pole vault champion Evan Langhammer, who became the sixth student-athlete in program history to win an outdoor title. He cleared 4.38m (14' 4.25") last season and enters this year's championship with the top mark in the ODAC, having cleared 4.63m (15' 2.25") at the Doc Jopson Invite on March 28. His performance currently ranks 40th in Division III.

Leo Avigliano and Robert Cooper return as Second Team All-ODAC honorees. Avigliano placed second in the discus in his ODAC debut with a mark of 44.04m (144' 5.75"), and enters this year's meet ranked second in the event (44.66m / 146' 6.00"). He also ranks seventh in the shot put (13.20m / 43' 3.75") and 17th in the hammer throw (35.88m / 117' 8.00").Cooper earned Second Team honors in the 5,000m last year with a time of 14:56.02, and returns ranked fourth in the event after posting 14:50.46 at the Colonial Relays. He's also eighth in the 1,500m with a time of 3:57.56, recorded at the Hopkins/Loyola Invite.

George Marable earned Third Team All-ODAC honors in both the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles last year. He ran 15.35s in the 110m and 55.18s in the 400m. Heading into the championship, he leads the ODAC in the 400m hurdles (53.74s)—a mark that ranks 18th nationally in Division III—and sits third in the 110m hurdles (15.25s). O'Keefe McKinney returns after a third-place finish in the shot put earned him his first career All-ODAC honor with a mark of 14.29m (46' 10.50"). He enters this year's meet ranked fifth in the shot put (13.33m / 43' 9.00") and 14th in the discus (35.92m / 117' 10.00"). Will Knight rounds out the returning All-ODAC selections after earning Third Team honors in the discus last season with a throw of 43.89m (143' 11.75"). He comes into this year's championship ranked third in the discus (42.44m / 139' 3.00") and second in the shot put (14.36m / 47' 1.50")/
