Distance Trio Posts Top-Five Finishes at Shenandoah Holiday Kickoff

WINCHESTER, Va. - Three members of the Washington and Lee University men's track and field team wrapped up the opening weekend at the Shenandoah Holiday Kickoff on Sunday afternoon.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEET
  • Thomas Franklin, Colin Verrett and Kaden Rife made the trip up I-81 to Winchester, Va. for the final meet of 2025 to compete in the 3,000m. Franklin secured a win in the event with a time of 8:45.74 which was five seconds faster than runner-up Nathan Caldwell of Dickinson. Verrett and Rife both turned in top-five finishes as Verrett finished in third place with a time of 8:57.78 while Rife posted a time of 9:19.55 to place fifth.
