NATURAL BRIDGE, Va. — The Washington and Lee University riding team celebrated the senior class on Saturday, March 1 at Mane Gait and the squad's home IHSA competition.
W&L tallied 20 points and finished with 10 ribbons in the 14 sections highlighted by a first-place score for Allison Hines in Open Fences Section B on Millie.
Virginia Tech secured the highest total score with 31 points, followed closely by Hollins and the University of Virginia, both earning 29 points. Both James Madison and Lynchburg finished with 27 points.
The Washington and Lee equestrian team returns to competition on Saturday, March 8, for the Hollins University IHSA Show in Hollins, Va. The event will take place at Kirby Arena, with the first class set to begin at 10 a.m.
