LEXINGTON, Va. — Washington and Lee University senior forward Betty Boatwright has been selected to the 2025 NFHCA Division III Collegiate Senior Team, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Thursday afternoon.

Boatwright is one of just 60 senior student-athletes nationwide to earn the honor, which recognizes competitive excellence, leadership, and lasting impact within their programs. Selections are made from coach nominations and reviewed by committees of NFHCA member coaches, with seniors eligible for the distinction only once in their careers.

A four-time Second Team All-ODAC selection and two-year co-captain, Boatwright delivered a standout final season for the Generals. She recorded 11 goals and one assist (23 points) in 2025, including two hat tricks—the second coming in the ODAC semifinals, where she scored all three W&L goals. One of the program's most consistent attacking threats, Boatwright concludes her career ranked sixth in program history in goals (39) and seventh in points (89), along with 11 career assists.

Boatwright helped lead W&L to 44 wins, 26 conference victories, an ODAC Championship as a first-year, and an NCAA Tournament first-round win in 2022.

This year's Senior Team recognition is supported by longtime coach and donor Karren Mann, whose contribution provides each honoree with a personalized, engraved award commemorating their selection.
