LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee University men's swimming team has earned a national ranking for the first time this season, debuting at No. 25 in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Top 25 Dual Meet Poll, released recently.

The Generals (3–1) are among the new programs entering the November national rankings, which evaluate the top dual meet teams across NCAA Division III. W&L is the only Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) representative in either the men's or women's polls this month.

The committee, composed of Division III coaches from across the country, ranks teams based on dual meet results, season performances, roster depth, and SwimCloud data projections. The rankings highlight overall dual meet strength rather than championship meet predictions.

Emory University tops the men's national poll with 425 points, followed by Chicago (407) and Denison (387) to round out the top three. Washington and Lee earned 25 points to join the top 25 for the first time this season, after an impressive start that includes commanding wins over Mary Washington, Southern Virginia, and Lynchburg and tallied 71 points against now No. 4 Carnegie Mellon in October.

The Generals are coming off the heels of a strong 8th-place performance at UChicago's D3 Shootout where senior Dalton Jobe registered the Blue and White's first 'B Cut' time of the season, in the 200 free (1:38.85)

W&L returns to the starting blocks Friday, November 21 at the three-day RMC Yellow Jacket Invite at the Hampton (Va.) Aquaplex.
