Men’s Swimmings Drops Home Dual to No. 6 Carnegie Mellon, Takes Two Event Wins

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Washington and Lee University men's swimming collected two event victories in a non-conference dual against sixth-ranked Carnegie Mellon, falling 191–71 at the W&L Natatorium.

The Generals were led by Dalton Jobe, who won the 200-yard freestyle and added runner-up finishes in the 100 freestyle (46.45) and 200 IM (1:54.37). Leighton Chapman sprinted to the wall first in the 50 freestyle (20.87), while the 200 medley relay of Tinsley, Cerone, Ross and Jobe finished second (1:33.35). Harrison Cerone was second in the 100 breaststroke (57.83) and also took second in the 200 breaststroke (2:12.68). Zane Ross added a runner-up in the 100 butterfly (51.83).


Up Next: Washington and Lee returns to the pool on Friday, October 24th as they welcome the University of Lynchburg. The meet is slated to start at 6 p.m. in the W&L Natatorium.
