– The Washington and Lee University field hockey team secured a 3-1 non-conference victory over Centre College on Saturday afternoon.
The Generals (2-1) trailed the Colonels (0-3) 1-0 late in the second quarter before
Kate Ruffin tied the game at 27:06, assisted by
Betty Boatwright. The score sparked W&L's offense, as Boatwright added the go-ahead goal early in the third quarter, and first-year midfielder
Noelle Kokolis sealed the win with a fourth-quarter goal.
