RUSTBURG, Va. – The Washington and Lee University riding team kicked off competition at the University of Lynchburg Fall IHSA Doubleheader on October 5.
Riders competed in a range of equitation classes and secured several top finishes throughout the event. The Generals recorded 18 team points in the season-opener and registered 11 ribbon-finishers.
Allison Hines claimed first for the Open Flat class and was the top performer with another ribbon, third place, in the Open Fences class. Hines rode Van Gough and Ziggy in the respective events to lead W&L in scoring.
