The Generals trailed 7-3 going into the top of the third but bounced back with a six-run frame to take a two-run lead. Junior shortstop Ethan Zulueta (
Matthews, N.C./Weddington) hit a one-out single to load the bases. Senior center fielder Mitchell Salvino (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic) hit his third triple of the year and cleared the bases to tie the game at seven a piece. A pair of singles by senior left fielder Zach Perkins (Vienna, Va./James Madison) and sophomore catcher Campbell Charneco (Clifton, Va./Centreville) pushed the Generals ahead by two.

A sacrifice fly brought the Eagles within one and was followed with a three-run shot to clear the bases and put Bridgewater ahead 11-9.
W&L would not put any additional runs on the board after the third inning and the Eagles closed out the game with three insurance scores for a five-run win.
