DiSibio Joins 1,000 Point Club in Win over Randolph

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Washington and Lee University men's basketball team downed Randolph College on Wednesday evening, 97-75.

The Generals (17-7, 10-5 ODAC) had six individuals score in double digits in the win over the WildCats (5-19, 1-14). Robert DiSibio (Sandy Hook, Conn. /Newtown) led all scorers as he made his way into W&L's 1,000 point club on Wednesday night. DiSibio needed just nine points to hit the milestone but finished with a stat line of 21 points, a career high of seven assists and grabbed nine boards.

Senior Jack Lewis (Rockville, Md. / Sidwell Friends) added a career high 20 points with 18 of those tallies being from long range and added a pair of free throws. Lewis went 6-of-9 from the floor, recorded four rebounds, two steals and a block. Classmates Richie Manigault (Stewartsville, N.J. / Phillipsburg) and Cheick Toure (Silver Spring, Md. / Sandy Spring Friends) added three triples each and both finished with 11 points.

The team was strong from beyond the arc in Wednesday night's matchup making 17 of the 36 attempts for 47.2 percent. From the floor, the Generals went 33-of-65 and 14-of-21 from the line.

Juniors Drew Harrell (Collingswood, N.J. / Paul VI) and Jack d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa. / Radnor) added 14 and 11 points, respectively. Harrell recorded three blocks, including a chase-down from the other end of the court, and five rebounds in the team's tenth ODAC win this season.

Jerry Goodman and Kyle Ferguson led the visitors' offense with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Tonight's conference victory marks the fifth consecutive full season slate that Head Coach Chris McHugh '09 has led the Generals to  10+ conference wins in his six years at the program's helm. The only year the Blue and White did not meet the 10+ ODAC win mark was during the 2020-21 season; W&L played in just five total contests over the course of the year due to the pandemic.

The Blue and White are currently slated to play in the No. 4 / No. 5 seed quarterfinal matchup in the ODAC Men's Basketball Tournament with one game left in the regular season.

In the final matchup, the Generals will host Hampden-Sydney on Saturday, February 18. Prior to the 4:30 tipoff, Sam Wise (Winchester, Va. / Handley) Manigault, Toure and Lewis will be joined by their families on the court and be honored with a senior day celebration.
