FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team won five events on Saturday at the Battleground Relays hosted by Mary Washington.
 
Highlights From the Meet

• Senior Joe O'Connor (Henrico, Va./Douglas Freeman) won two events to pace the Generals. He claimed first in the pole vault at 4.86m (15'11.25") and finished first in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.38.
• In the 200m, junior Doug Dracon (Matthews, N.C./Weddington) crossed the finish line in the top spot in 22.42.
• Sophomore Adam Roy (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) had the best toss in the javelin at 53.27m (174'9.00"]).
• The quartet of first-year James Edwards (Lincoln, Calif./Lincoln), junior James Dixon (Mountain Brook, Ala./The Altamont School), first-year Duncan Meldrum (Houston, Texas/St. Andrew's College) and Dracon placed first in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:28.98.
