WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Washington and Lee women's track and field sophomore
Katelyn Gamble (Houston, Texas/The Kinkaid School) finished sixth in the 60m at the Indoor NCAA Championship on Saturday to earn her first career All-America honor.
Highlights From the Meet
- Gamble crossed the finish line in 7.67 to finish sixth in the race.
- Sophomore Adalia Coleman claimed the top spot with a time of 7.61.
- All eight competitors in the race were separated by just .09.
- The sixth-place finish is the best for a W&L women's track and field athlete since Stacy Doornbos '09 claimed fourth in the pentathlon in 2009.
- Gamble is just the fifth athlete in program history to garner All-America laurels (third indoors) and the first since Dana Lee '17 secured her third career honor with an eighth-place finish in the indoor long jump in 2016.
