LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee men's track and field team registered eight personal bests on day one of the VMI Winter Classic on Friday.
Highlights From the Meet
- Sophomore Chris Ruiz (Highland Lakes, N.J./Vernon Township) placed seventh in the 1,000m with a time of 2:35.22.
- In the triple jump, first-year Isaac Barber (Providence Forge, Va./New Kent) claimed 11th with a personal-best leap of 13.34m (43'9.25").
- First-year Jaylen Day (Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md./Harve De Grace) finished 11th in the 60m hurdles with a personal-best time of 8.82.
- Sophomore Jackson Jacobs (Bridgeport, W.Va./Bridgeport) took 11th in the 5,000m with an indoor personal-best time of 15:56.20.
