Sullivan primed for third trip to Division III Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released its list of swimmers selected to compete at the 2020 Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, and Washington and Lee junior Patrick Sullivan (Pawleys Island, S.C./Waccamaw) was selected to compete in three events.

The 2020 ODAC Men's Swimmer of the Year will be making his third career appearance at the NCAA Championships after claiming First Team All-America laurels with a fifth-place finish in last season's 200 freestyle. Sullivan also added a pair of 21st-place efforts in the 50 free and 100 free at the championship meet.

Sullivan will be competing in the same three events this season as he did the previous two seasons. He qualified for the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events with times of 20.74, 44.67 and 1:37.97, respectively, at the 2020 ODAC Championships.

The Generals finished 29th at the 2019 NCAA Championships after compiling 14 points. The 2020 NCAA Championships will be held from March 18 to 21 at the Greensboro Aquatics Center in Greensboro, N.C.
