Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. — The Washington and Lee volleyball team hit -.035 in a 3-0 loss to Berry at the Emory Invitational on Friday.
The Knights (21-6) totaled 34 kills on 88 attempts with 11 errors (.261 hitting percentage) in a 25-14, 25-16, 25-7 win. The Generals (17-13) recorded just 17 kills on 86 attempts with 20 errors.
Junior defensive specialist Maddy Cutler (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) totaled a career-high 15 digs, while senior defensive specialist Mansie Hough (St. Petersburg, Fla./Canterbury School) added 11 digs and three kills.
First-year outside hitter Elly Cosgrove (Wilmington, N.C./John T. Hoggard) led the offense with six kills, and sophomore setter Vicky Kazmierczak (Huntley, Ill./Huntley) distributed the ball with 15 assists.
Berry first-year right side Micayla Bedoin led all players with nine kills on just 18 attempts. Junior libero Katie Truluck had a team-best 11 digs.
The Generals will play their final match of the regular season on Saturday, when they take on the top-ranked team in the country, Juniata, at 2:00 pm at the Emory Invitational.
