Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Washington and Lee volleyball team
won its fourth-straight match with a 3-0 sweep of Bridgewater
College on day one of the Bridgewater Invitational Friday night at
Nininger Hall.
W&L blanked the Eagles (6-7), 25-19, 25-16, 25-9 to improve
to 5-1 on the season.
First-year outside hitter M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St. John's)
led the W&L offense with 11 kills and a pair of service aces
while also adding eight digs. Junior outside hitter Megan Daily
(Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) added eight kills and sophomore
right side Bailey Walker (Centennial, Colo./Regis Jesuit) chipped
in six kills while hitting .500 for the match.

Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the
defense with a team-high 18 digs and first-year setters
Nikki DelZenero (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) and
Meghan Meleski
(Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) split time running the offense.
DelZenero recorded 19 assists in two sets, while Meleski chipped in
10 assists in the final set.
The Generals continue play in the Bridgewater Invitational when
they take on Philadelphia Biblical on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
