Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Head Volleyball Coach Bryan Snyder earned
his 300th win at Washington and Lee as W&L defeated
Virginia Wesleyan 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at the CNU
Invitational.
The Generals (15-4) downed the Marlins 25-21, 26-24, 25-20 to
give Snyder his 300th win at the helm of the Generals.
Snyder's record at W&L now stands at 300-79 (.792) over
11 seasons and his career record is currently at 341-104 (.766)
including two seasons at St. Mary's (Md.).
First-year outside hitter
M.A. Boles (Houston, Texas/St.
John's) led the W&L offense with 15 kills, while junior
outside hitter
Megan Daily (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) and
junior middle blocker
Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School)
each added seven kills.
First-year setters
Meghan Meleski (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) and
Nikki DelZenero (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale Central) split time
running the offense, with Meleski racking up 19 assists and
DelZenero chipping in eight assists.
Sophomore libero
Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) led the
defense with 15 digs, while senior defensive specialist Jenna
Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) had 11 digs and a pair
of service aces.
The Generals return to the court on Wednesday when they travel to
Roanoke College for a 6:30 pm matchup.
