Box Score 2 LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team
continued its winning ways with a 3-1 win over Bridgewater on
Saturday afternoon at the Warner Center.
The Generals moved to 16-10 overall and 7-2 in the ODAC with the
25-16, 25-20, 27-29, 25-22 win. Bridgewater fell to 9-13, 6-3 with
the loss.
Senior outside hitter Rachael Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep)
led a strong offensive showing with 16 kills as she hit .314 for
the match. Sophomore middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore,
Md./Bryn Mawr) added 12 kills and hit .333.
First-year right side Bailey Walker (Centennial, Colo./Regis
Jesuit) and sophomore outside hitter Megan Daily (Birmingham,
Ala./Mountain Brook) chipped in eight kills apiece.
First-year libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant)
contributed a team-high 15 digs and Phillips and junior defensive
specialist Jenna Finger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) had 12
digs each. Finger also tallied four service aces.
Senior setter Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission
South) had 45 assists.
The Generals return to action on Saturday at 1:30 when they take
on Marietta at the Warner Center.
