Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team
continued its strong play of late with a 3-0 sweep of Guilford on
Thursday night at the Warner Center.
The Generals (12-10, 6-2 ODAC) notched their fifth-straight 3-0
sweep as they dispatched Guilford (7-13, 1-6), 25-12, 25-15,
25-18.
W&L received 12 kills from senior outside hitter Rachael
Phillips (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Prep) and eight kills from junior
middle blocker Louise Brooks (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr) in the
win.
Sophomore middle blocker Lindsey Dee (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay
School) chipped in seven kills and notched a team-high five blocks.
Senior setters Kristi Stevens (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission
South) and Megan Steinhardt (Cedar Park, Texas/Cedar Park) added 14
and 13 assists, respectively.
First-year libero Cameron Hill (Tampa, Fla./H.B. Plant) and junior
defensive specialist Summer Goldberg (Marietta, Ga./Woodward
Academy) each posted a team-high 10 digs.
W&L returns to action on Saturday as it hosts both Christopher
Newport and Roanoke, with the first match slated to start at 11:00
am.
