LYNCHBURG, Va. – First-year guard Meghan Ingram (Greensboro, N.C./Ragsdale) scored a game-high 26 points in leading Washington and Lee to a 75-58 victory over Randolph in ODAC women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.
The Generals (4-6, 4-2) methodically pushed out to a 33-22 lead at halftime and extended their lead to as many as 19 points in the second stanza in winning for the third time in their last four games. W&L shot 45.8 percent (27-59) from the floor and held a 44-34 advantage on the boards.
Ingram shot 10-of-13 from the floor and was 6-of-9 from three-point range, tying the school record for three-pointers made in a game. She also had six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals. First-year forward Rebecca Bolton (Pittsboro, N.C./Chatham Central) scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds, while sophomore center Felice Herman (Fairfield, Pa./Delone Catholic) chipped in seven points and a season-high 11 rebounds.
Randolph (1-8, 1-6) was led by Michelle Brockman's 18 points and 11 rebounds. Lindsay Cross added 17 points for the WildCats.
Washington and Lee returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Eastern Mennonite for a 7:00 pm contest.
