W&L Women’s Basketball Cruises Past Hollins, 67-52

HOLLINS, Va. -- Washington and Lee jumped out to a 21-point (34-13) halftime lead and cruised to its fourth straight victory with a 67-52 win at Hollins in ODAC Women's Basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

The Generals shot a season-best 53.7 percent (29-54) from the field and forced 23 HU turnovers in the victory, their seventh in the last eight games.

W&L (11-12, 8-10) was paced by senior guard Louisa Feve (Bethesda, Md./Winston Churchill), who tallied 11 points in 14 minutes of action. Sophomore forward Kristen Krouchick (Holland, Pa./Nazareth Academy) notched 10 points also in 14 minutes of play, while senior guard Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) registered seven points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals, all of which were career-highs.

Hollins (0-22, 0-17) was led by forward Ashley Lewis' 17 points and eight rebounds. Guard Coby Wilmer added 12 points, seven assists and five rebounds.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Guilford for a 7:00 pm contest.
