EMORY, Va. – The Washington and Lee football team scored 24 second quarter points and racked up 532 yards of total offense in a 45-7 victory over ODAC-foe Emory & Henry on Saturday afternoon at Fullerton Field. For W&L, it was the first victory at E&H since the 1981 season.
The Generals (6-3, 4-2) took a 7-0 lead just 15 seconds into the game when freshman running back Stuart Sitterson (Atlanta, Ga./Westminster) returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown. The return was Sitterson's second for a touchdown this season, tying the W&L season record.
