BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Washington and Lee men's and women's swimming teams fell at Johns Hopkins on Saturday in Baltimore, Md.
The Bluejays' men's team (6-6) defeated W&L, 105-77, while the women (5-7) were 99-78 winners.
Sophomore Michael Lee (Hanford, Calif./Hanford) and freshman Clark Barrineau (Charlotte, N.C./South Mecklenburg) paced the Generals' men (4-6) with wins in the 200 Breast (2:39.78) and 500 Free (5:10.63).
The W&L women (8-4) were led by junior Mandi Kimble (Greensboro, N.C./Greensboro Day School) and sophomore Tasia Fisher (Stoney Creek, Conn./Sacred Heart Academy), who each won one event. Kimble touched first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:22.59), while Fisher won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:41.88.
Both the men's and women's teams will be back in the water later this afternoon (5:00 pm) when they take on Marymount.
