LEXINGTON, Va. -- Senior middle blocker Lindsay Ruckert (Metairie, La./Sacred Heart) posted 21 kills to lead top-seeded Washington and Lee past fifth-seeded Bridgewater, 30-21, 27-30, 30-22, 30-24 in the ODAC Volleyball Tournament Semifinals on Saturday morning in Lexington.
Ruckert's 21 kills give her 433 on the season, breaking her own school record for kills in a season. Freshman outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) chipped in with 12 digs and freshman setter Jennifer Lux (Virginia Beach, Va./Cox) amassed a game-high 39 assists.
Bridgewater (17-13) was led by sophomore outside hitter Candy Baker (Faber, Va./Nelson County), who tallied 17 kills and 18 digs. Junior setter Tiffany Tumer (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) notched 30 assists.
Washington and Lee (28-4) advances to the finals for the seventh straight year where it will face seventh-seeded Roanoke College. The match is slated to begin at 3:00 pm.
