Kacie Lang

Kacie Lang enters her third season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Washington and Lee for the 2018-19 season.

Lang helped lead the Generals to a 17-10 overall record in 2017-18 with a 9-7 record in conference while also helping Emily Perszyk '18 to her second straight first team All-ODAC selection and second team all-state honor. Perszyk also became the first Academic All-American in program history, landing on the first team.

In her first season, the Generals went 12-14 overall and 7-9 in the ODAC. The team fell to eventual ODAC Champion, Guilford, 72-55, in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. Lang helped mentor Perszyk to first team all-conference and second team all-state honors.

Lang spent the 2015-16 season as an assistant women’s basketball coach for the University of New England. During her time at UNE, she helped the Nor’easters to a 25-4 overall record and an 18-0 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. UNE finished the season winning the CCC championship, as well as being ranked No. 22 by D3hoops.com and making an NCAA appearance. She also helped coach numerous all-conference and all-region honorees this past season.

Prior to her time at UNE, Lang spent three years as the assistant coach at Peru State College. She was responsible for helping with recruiting, academic monitoring, and practice and game preparation.

Lang is a 2012 graduate of Daniel Webster College with a bachelor of science in sport management. She was a four-year letterwinner in basketball, and was named the team MVP her senior year and team defensive player of the year her junior year. Lang was also a three-year letterwinner in soccer and a one-year letterwinner in cross-country and softball. She was a member of the Daniel Webster College All-Academic team all four years. Lang also earned a master of science in organizational management from Wayne State College in 2014.
