Mark Roeder is in his third season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the W&L Men's Soccer team in 2025.
During his first two seasons on staff, the Generals have made it to the national semifinals twice and won the 2024 ODAC championship, the eighth in program history. The Generals have produced a 30-8-12 (.720) overall record in his two seasons, going 15-4-6 in both 2023 and 2024, to go along with a 14-1-5 mark in conference play.
No stranger to Lexington, Roeder spent the three seasons prior to joining the W&L staff as a volunteer assistant at VMI. Roeder came to the Generals with over 20 years of youth coaching experience, as well as 15 years of officiating experience. His time as a referee has extended up to the pro level, including the A-League.
A native of Laurel, Md., Roeder spent 10 years of active duty in the United States Navy and owns a USSF D-License. Roeder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in cybersecurity and a Masters of Business Administration degree, both of which he earned from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
