2019: Saw action in six contests ... helped the offense average 33.4 points per game, scoring at least 30 points in seven of the 10 contests ... part of a line that paved the way for W&L to rank fifth nationally in rushing offense (315.7 ypg), tied for 14th in sacks allowed (8) and 29th in total offense (441.9 ypg).

2018: Played in a majority of the team's games as an offensive lineman ... helped the Generals lead the ODAC and rank fifth in Division III in rushing offense with an average of 296.0 yards per game ... part of an offensive line that also ranked second in the ODAC in sacks allowed (10) and third in time of possession (30:12).

High School: Earned three letters as a member of the football team at George Washington High School ... helped lead the team to a pair of district titles ... served as a team captain for his senior season ... named the team's offensive lineman of the year as a junior and senior ... two-time first team all-district and two-time first team all-metro honoree ... also earned second team all-conference honors once and was named second team all-region one time as well.

Personal: Great Uncle, Holt Merchant '61, graduated from W&L and was a long-time professor of history at W&L ... mother, Evelyn, played field hockey at Randoph-Macon ... father, Brett, played football for the Yellow Jackets ... plays the trombone and the harmonica ... volunteers with the Danville Humane Society and Disciples Dinner ... history major.
