Biography

2018: Three-year letterwinner and a team captain ... expected to compete for snaps at quarterback again as a senior.

2018: Played in all nine games as a quarterback ... rushed 71 times for 330 yards and two touchdowns ... also completed 14-of-43 passes (.326) for 233 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions ... rushed 17 times for a career-high 133 yards and two touchdowns in a 47-14 win over Sewanee (9/8) ... rushed 11 times for 70 yards and threw for 39 yards in a 40-29 win over Emory & Henry (10/13) ... completed 6-of-9 passes for a season-best 78 yards and a touchdown, and rushed eight times for 37 yards in a 38-35 win over Ferrum (10/20).

2017: Moved from tight end to quarterback and played in all 11 games ... completed 11-of-21 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions ... rushed 68 times for 346 yards and two touchdowns ... also tallied a pair of tackles on special teams ... rushed 13 times for a season-high 91 yards and one touchdown, and completed one pass for 32 yards in a 47-26 win over Guilford (10/14) ... rushed seven times for 87 yards and one touchdown in a 63-30 win over Sewanee (9/9) ... rushed seven times for 51 yards and completed all four of his passes for a career-high 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-21 win over Shenandoah (11/11) that clinched the league title.

2016: Saw action in nine contests as a first-year ... tallied 10 total tackles on special teams ... had at least one tackle in eight contests and had a season-best two tackles against both Guilford (10/15) and Shenandoah (11/12).

High School: Earned four letters each in football and baseball at Athens Academy ... three-time all-region honoree in both football and baseball ... named region MVP in both sports as a senior ... named the region''s Offensive MVP as a senior ... named a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.

Personal: Grandfather played football at Georgia Tech ... serves as a mentor for Rockbridge County Schools ... volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and as a little league baseball coach ... was a summer analyst at Stream Realty in Washington D.C. ... business administration and politics double-major.
