Biography

2012: Three-year letterwinner and team captain ... expected to occupy the No. 1 starter position.

2011: Lettered as a junior ... posted a 3-4 record with a 5.04 ERA in 12 appearances (11 starts) ... allowed one unearned run on four hits, two walks and three strikeouts in 5.0 innings to pick up the win in a 12-2 win over Greensboro (2/13) ... tossed 5.2 shutout innings with a walk and four strikeouts in earning the win in a 2-0 victory over Virginia Wesleyan (4/17).

2010: Lettered in his second season and earned Second Team All-ODAC honors … made 10 starts a season ago and posted a 4-2 record with a 3.28 ERA … surrendered 23 runs (18 earned) on 53 hits and 17 walks with 32 strikeouts, while limiting opponents to just a .277 batting average-against … earned the win in a 9-2 victory over Lynchburg (3/6), allowing two runs on three hits and a walk with six strikeouts in 7.0 innings … tossed six innings of shutout ball, surrendering three hits and striking out six in a 6-0 win over Roanoke (3/16) … struck out five and allowed one unearned run in 6.0 innings of a 7-1 win over Emory & Henry (3/24) … registered six punchouts and allowed one run in 7.0 innings of an 11-2 win over Eastern Mennonite (4/7).

2009: Lettered as a first-year … appeared in 11 contests and started six games … posted a 5.23 ERA and a 1-2 record in 41.1 innings … picked up this first career win with three innings of scoreless relief in a 5-2 win over Southern Virginia (3/17) … earned a no decision in a 5-2 win over Eastern Mennonite, despite tossing six innings of one-run ball and allowing just one hit (4/18).

High School: Earned a pair of letters in both baseball and basketball at McQuaid Jesuit … first team City-Catholic League selection in baseball … helped lead the baseball team to a pair of City-Catholic League titles.

Off the field: Neuroscience major.
