Ariyel Yavalar ''192018: A three-year letterwinner and a captain this season ... enters the year as the team''s top goalkeeper ... has the second-best career goals-against average (1.44) in program history, the third-best career save percentage (.776), the second-most career shutouts (11) and the second-most career saves (263).

2017: Played in and started all 20 games for W&L, appearing in 1,470:33 minutes out of a possible 1,473:44 ... earned Third Team All-ODAC laurels ... led the team with a career-best 106 saves, which marked the second-highest single-season total in program history ... registered a 1.62 goals-against average and a .757 save percentage ... the save percentage is the eighth-best single-season mark in W&L history ... tallied at least seven saves in six contests ... totaled a season-high 16 saves in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against eventual National Runner-Up Messiah (11/11). 

2016: Started all 20 games in goal for the Generals, totaling 1,333:10 minutes ... made 86 saves with a .761 save percentage ... had a 1.42 goals-against average and recorded four shutouts ... the 86 saves are the fifth-most in a single season in program history ... the save percentage was the seventh-best single-season mark in W&L history, while the goals-against average was fifth ... the four shutouts were the third-most in a single season in school history ... stopped a season-high nine shots at Christopher Newport (10/2).

2015: Garnered Second Team All-ODAC honors in her first season ... played in 15 games with 12 starts ... in 889:25 minutes, she stopped 71 shots ... had the best goals-against average (1.18) in the conference and the third-best save percentage (.826) ... the 1.18 goals-against average was the best single-season mark in W&L history, and the save percentage tied for top spot in program history ... notched three shutouts, which tied for the fifth-most in a single season in program history ... had a career-best 17 saves at Shenandoah (10/16).

High School: Earned three letters in field hockey at Garrison Forest School ... her team won the 2012 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) Division ''A'' Conference Championship ... named all-state second team in 2014 ... a Cum Laude Society member.

Personal: Her father, Derya, played soccer at George Washington University and was inducted into the Colonials'' Hall of Fame ... her sister, Selin, played soccer at George Washington, her brother, Aksel, played soccer at York College (Pa.) and her aunt, Kathleen Doherty Robinson, played field hockey at the University of Richmond ... interned at the Nature Foundation in St. Maarten over the summer ... an engineering major.
