FARMINGTON, Pa. – Sophomore
Bella Scucchi surged up the individual leaderboard on Tuesday to highlight the No. 10 Washington and Lee women's golf team's efforts in the third round of the Tartan Invitational.

FINAL TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL LEADERS:
- No. 1 Emory closed out its wire-to-wire win on Tuesday by shooting 5-under (283) to win the tournament at 18-under (284-279-283—846). No. 3 NYU had the best third-round score at 6-under (282) to take second at 10-under for the tournament. No. 2 Carnegie Mellon rounded out the Top 3 at 3-over for the tournament after shooting a 1-over (289) in the third round.
- Emory's Amanda Zheng (-11) won the tournament individually by two strokes over Huntingdon's Yvette Gorden. Zheng was 1-under (71) in the third round to clinch the win, while Gorden was 2-under for the day. Inha Jun (NYU) took third place two strokes behind Gorden behind a 3-under (69) for the day, the best in the field.
- The Generals rounded out the Tartan Invitational in 10th place after shooting a 10-over par on Tuesday. The finished one stroke behind No. 23 Grinnell and three behind No. 12 Randolph-Macon.
W&L ROUND 3 PLAYER SUMMARIES:
- Scucchi fired a 2-under (70) on Tuesday to finish tied for 33rd (+10). Scucchi carded six birdies on the day, was 2-under on the front nine and even on the back. She tied for the second-best third-round score with four other players.
- Sophomore Toral Bhatt was the Generals' top finisher, as she tied for 30th. Bhatt was 3-over (75) for the day to round out the tournament at 9-over.
- First-year Kelsey Sciacca had the second-best daily score among W&L players with a 2-over (74) to tie for 44th overall (+13). Sciacca had two birdies on the day, both on the back nine, with 12 pars.
- Sophomore Mackenzie Cline rounded out the team scoring with a third-round 7-over (79), with sophomore Morgan Maddox completing the starting lineup with an 8-over. Cline and Maddox tied for 46th overall at 14-over.
- Junior Berkeley Bundy shot a 6-over (78) on Tuesday which included two birdies on the front nine and eight pars on the back nine.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Generals moved into the Top 10 in par-3 scoring average and finished the tournament in seventh (3.22). They also held in the Top 10 for par-4 and par-5 averages, taking ninth on par 4s (4.29) and tied for fourth on par 5s (5.07).
- W&L also tied for eighth in birdies (37) and made the seventh-most pars (153).
- Scucchi's 2-under third round moved her up 23 spots on the individual leaderboard which was the biggest jump any player made on Tuesday.
- Scucchi tied for the best par-5 average (4.58), which was helped by her birdieing all three par 5s in the third round. She finished the tournament with the seventh-most birdies (12).
